Quality Assurance 

 

The Quality Assurance System for PhD Programmes is designed as a cyclical process of continuous improvement aimed at ensuring excellence in research training. 

At the core of this process is the PhD Programme Review Group (GdR-CdDR), which is responsible for the self-assessment of the training pathway.

Quality Assurance of the PhD Programme concerns:

1. the design and continuous updating of high-level training pathways, promoting internationalisation, interdisciplinarity, and the development of transferable skills;
2. the planning and delivery of teaching and research activities that enable PhD students to progressively develop research autonomy and professional expertise;
3. the regular monitoring of outcomes through objective indicators, consultation of PhD student opinion survey results, verification of compliance with ministerial requirements, and analysis of available employment outcomes;
4. engagement with strategically relevant professional and social stakeholders, supported by the systematic consultation of the Advisory Board, which provides guidance on the design and continuous updating of training pathways in line with the latest research developments, ensuring that graduate profiles remain relevant and responsive to evolving societal and professional needs.

Each year, every PhD Programme Review Group (GdR-CdDR) is required to prepare the Annual Monitoring Report. Every five years, it must also produce the Cyclic Review Report, aimed at carrying out a comprehensive evaluation of the programme’s contents, organisational arrangements, and overall effectiveness. The review outcomes are translated into corrective actions, consistent with the University's guidelines and strategic planning, which support the reshaping of the high-qualification process, ensuring transparency and integrity.
